"Nutrium application ... is just phenomenal" — Kim Francis, RDN, LD, CDE

We invited Kim Francis, RDN, LD, CDE, a dietitian and nutritionist practising in Florida and owner of kimrosedietitian.com to tell us what she thinks of Nutrium.

Based in south central Florida, her philosophy is all about "Let's make nutrition easy". She has experience as an inpatient and outpatient clinical dietitian and in addition to that, provides virtual food nutrition consultations.

"I just love the way that Nutrium is set up because it is easy to use."— Kim Francis

Here are some highlights

Kim Rose, noted, at the very beginning that Nutrium is a software very easy to use and very visual as well.

I'm not that technologically savvy and definitely when I do see patient I do not want to use a software that is all complicated.

[In Information] you have a spot for personal and social history, a spot for the food diaries, and eating behaviour... Most importantly medical history which is something that I always like to pay attention to. And pregnancy history if you are dealing with clients who may be pregnant.

What I like about this software is that... it adapts to your style of documenting.

The Analysis has to be my favourite section of them all! It tells where the carbohydrates are coming from, the same thing for the fat, it tells you how much percentage of their foods they're getting from these sources.

Nutrium is not only designed to assess professionals when consulting with patients, but it also promotes a better relationship and improves their compliance inbetween appointments.

Nutrium has a phone application, for Android and iOS. You can print it out, send it to them via message and there's a messaging system [on the app] as well.

Something that I do like is the patient's preferences which you can enable or disable for each and every single client. Let's say, hypothetically speaking, you want them to start tracking their own weight and be a little more hands-on with their overall nutrition care you can go ahead and enable that feature [weight logs on the app].

This is really the basis, the overview of Nutrium application and I think is just phenomenal. My favourite feature would definitely have to be the foods as well as the graphical representation.
